Lightscape in Rokko at Hyogo prefecture 2019 schedule!

Activity

Rokko Shidare Observatory will hold the Lightscape in Rokko event again this year.

  • Lightscape in Rokko has over 10 million LED lights on a frame covering the observatory to display beautiful, natural colors. It attracts many visitors every year.

This year's theme is “The Pillow Book” authored by court lady Sei Shonagon in the 11th century. She describes Japan's timeless scenery of the four seasons enjoyed by the Japanese. The lightscape features the respective season during each season.
The lightscape was designed by lighting designer Masayuki Fushimi. Enjoy the current season's fantastic lightscape together with million-dollar views of city lights from Mt. Rokko
