Asakusa Night Photoshooting Tour

Culture

Konnichiwa guys:) My name is Yasuhiro and I’m a Japanese photographer living in Asakusa. As a local resident in here I really like my town and I would highly recommend to others. So let me show this amazing area with a great photoshoot. Asakusa has a traditional Japanese vibes than any other neighborhoods in Tokyo and I’m sure this could be one of the best souvenir you can carry back home. So checkout what’s included in this tour!

  • Tokyo Skytree

Have you ever heard of Tokyo Skytree? If not you are missing the most famous tower in Japan! This place is a broadcasting and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo. It became the tallest structure in Japan in 2010 and reached its full height of 634.0 metres (2,080 ft),making it the tallest tower in the world, displacing the Canton Tower, and the second tallest structure in the world after the Burj Khalifa. There is a bridge called Azumabashi close by so could take photography with the tower and the famous Asahi Beer office all together!

  • The Culture and Tourism Center

The Culture and Tourism Center is designed by Kengo Kuma, one of the most popular architect in Japan, and has a free observation deck and cafe on the 7th floor, with great views of all the best places in Asakusa. From the roof of this building, we can see lighting up of Senso-ji Temple which is just beautiful. It is one if the hidden local places that I want to show you.

  • Kaminarimon gate

Just a minutes walk from Asakusa Station and brimming with tourists, worshippers and shoppers, you will find Asakusa’s venerable Sensoji Temple; one of Tokyo’s major draws.
But before going into there, you can’t miss Kaminarimon gate, the entrance to the temple, which is also an iconic Asakusa photoshoot spot with an impressive history to match. It’s hard to find the best place and the right timing to take the photography while plowing through the crowds, but leave it to me! I will make the best out of it.

  • Sensoji temple

Going through Kaminarimon gate you will see Sensoji; one of the most colorful, historical and popular Buddhist temple in Tokyo. It’s also known that in the year 628, making it Tokyo's oldest temple. The atmosphere is quite different between daytime and night time, which means you will be able to enjoy twice! But I would say night time are always better. Away from bunches of tourists you will be able to take a memorable photo in here.
