With his trademark cut-up/glitch style of micro tech-house as weapon of choice, Akufen is without a doubt one of the masters of 21st century house music, and now he’ll be dropping a set at nightclub VENT Omotesando, on April 26th!

It's truly rare to have an artist who encapsulates a musical zeitgeist. Few artists will be able to surpass the creative such an achievement. However Akufen, a project taken on by Marc Leclair, has accomplished this by creating an insane cut-up style of micro house. His music is minimalist electronic that has been refined by funky house.

Akufen dropped his first album “My Way” back in 2002 on Force Inc. Music Works, and it boasted over 2000 samples. That year, Resident Advisor ranked it number 15 best album of the year, and in 2015 his masterpiece “Thump” was selected as 81st best dance album in history. In 2003, he founded his own Musique Risquée label, and has been releasing works at a constant pace under different monikers like Horror Inc. and The Stowaway. He's slated to release something via Nachtbraker's Quartet Series sometime this year, as well. It goes without saying that Akufen is one of the pillars of the minimal house scene.

He's been involved with Montreal's MUTEK festival since its inception, and as part of the Perlon family, Akufen has toured all over the world as part of Superlongevity. So don't miss a crazy night of cut-up beats brought to you by the talented Akufen, only at VENT!
