The resort was used for the international media center during the G8 Toyako Hokkaido Summit in 2008. The resort's amusement park was ranked as one of the best in Japan in a 2015 theme park list. Rusutsu Resort has also been introduced as one of the best resorts in the world in international travel magazines.

Took a day trip from Hirafu to ski Rusutsu. Need to book at Welcome center, ¥8600 include bus fare and 1 day ski pass. Good value, considering an All Mountain Pass at Hirafu is about the same. There... more
