Ebisu Bridge

戎橋

This is a bridge over the Dotonbori River in Chuo Ward, Osaka City, Osaka, located connecting the center of the downtown areas of Shinsaibashi-suji and Ebisubashi-suji. The bridge is also often called “Hikkake-bashi” (pick-up bridge) locally. On the southwest side is the Glico signboard, a popular spot for taking commemorative photos. The bridge is also famous as the spot where many young people jumped into the Dotonbori River when the Hanshin Tigers won the championship or when the Japanese national team won the soccer World Cup. There is a circular area on the current bridge where tourists can easily stop.
